Public Works / Street Maintenance Worker (Seasonal)

The City of Dunn Public Works Department is seeking applicants for a seasonal Maintenance Worker. Employee performs varied tasks to include: mowing, weed eating, edging, cutting limbs and filling potholes.

  • Minimum Requirements
    All candidates must be able to drive trucks and operate light and medium equipment needed to complete jobs. Must possess a valid NC Driver License.
  • Starting Salary Range
    $13.20 per hour

Dunn was originally called "Lucknow" and was renamed in 1873

The city of Dunn was incorporated on February 12, 1887, at which time it was a logging town and a turpentine distilling center. The name honors Bennett Dunn, who supervised the construction of the railway line between Wilson and Fayetteville.
